Prof. Sylvie Lorenzen

Prof. Lorenzen is a Consultant in the Department of Hematology and Oncology and Head of the Early Clinical Trial Unit at Klinikum Rechts der Isar, Technische Universität München, Germany. Her research focuses on medical oncology, response evaluation in solid tumors, multimodality treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, and Phase I clinical trials. She has served as Principal or Sub-Investigator in numerous investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies. Prof. Lorenzen chairs the Gastric Cancer Task Force of the AIO (German Cancer Society) and is a member of the ESMO Educational Steering Committee and the Bavarian Ethics Commission. She is actively involved in national and international guideline development and serves as editor and reviewer for leading oncology journals.
