Dr. Shahryar is certified by the American Boards of Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. He has expertise ranging from the diagnosis and treatment of the benign and malignant disorders of the blood cells, lymph nodes, and bone marrow, such as lymphoma, leukemia, and myeloma, as well as tumors of the breast, lung, colon, rectum, prostate, kidneys, urinary bladder, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, ovaries among many others. In addition, Dr. Shahryar has a special focus on managing older people with cancer, requiring a comprehensive assessment. His research interests include clinical trials of novel agents, outcomes research, and geriatric oncology.
