Dr. Olga Oikonomidou

Dr. Olga Oikonomidou is an Academic Consultant Medical Oncologist specializing in breast cancer and Lead of the Breast Cancer Translational Research Group at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, University of Edinburgh. She holds degrees in Medicine, Human Genetics (BSc), Oncology (MSc), Immunology (MRes), and a PhD in translational medicine. Following medical oncology training at King’s College and Guy’s Hospital in London, she moved to Edinburgh, where she combines a busy breast oncology practice with leadership of clinical trials and translational research. Dr. Oikonomidou is a clinical expert for NICE and SMC, Chief Investigator on multiple international trials, and her research focuses on biomarkers of treatment response in breast cancer.
